NICOLAS CAGE!!  A 'born legend,' because of his family, alone!! But, he didn't use his family name - he made himself a legend by his own merit.  
 

I guess it's a bit lil strange, I dunno!  I've loved Nic Cage since I can remember... but I guess I didn't want to at first???  If that...?  Does that make ANY sense - at all??​  I mean... I loved him... But didn't get excited when talking about him - like say - Chaplin or Depp... ya know??  I also found myself being first in line at his films.  SO.. I guess you could say - "I was a closet fan." Though I didn't 'hide' it...

Strange enough - I was the same way about John Travolta... Then?  I saw the film, 'Raising Arizona."  I was HOOKED! ....

The satire online is outta this wauld crazy like hazy!  abs? titanic? yoda? sofa? video game? pickle? panties? hulk? saint? king O POP? Al? mona lisa?   a wabbit? ...Even a toy.. aand the beat goeth on and on, the list is ENDLESS!  Add up all said satire??  And he has just QUINTRIPLED his movie presence!!  There's a Nic for EVERY scenario..  Whatever he is in - you can be sure he's not THIS!!  He's real!!

Nic Cage, was born Nicolas Kim Coppola on January 7, 1964 in Long Beach, Cali.

 

Born into a strict Catholic family & to a family dynasty of talent. Nic's dad, August Coppola, was a professor of Literature at UCLA, and his mom, Joy (Vogulsong) Coppola, a dancer and choreographer. He has 2 brothers - Marc 'The Cope' Coppola (of the popular NYC radio program... and director Chris Coppola. His grandparents were Carmine Coppola, the famed composer... & Italia Pennino, the famed celebrated Italian actress. Francis Ford Coppola (director of The Godfather), is his uncle.. while Talia Shire (Adrian from Rocky), his aunt. Directors Roman Coppola and Sofia Coppola, film producer Giano Carlo Coppola, and actors Robert Carmine & Jason Schwartzman are all his cousins. He also has a cousin that works as an animal trainer for film. So - in essence - a family reunion could very well be a blockbuster hit - if they so wanted it. Just sayin'...

Nic was an imaginative kid from the getgo, according to his uncle Francis. "Films & comic books... that was all that was ever on his mind...""He knew all the key lines from his favorite films and actors." 

 

Nic's first taste of acting came at a school play early in life called 'Golden Boy.'  After that Nic was serious, and scrupulous about acting. Nic himself says .."James Dean is the reason behind my career. I started acting because I wanted to BE James Dean. I saw him in Rebel Without a Cause, and East of Eden, and it BLEW MY MIND! NOTHING affected me - NO rock song, NO classical music, like Dean did in Eden!  I was like - THAT is what I wanna do!"  And lo folks?  He did!  IMO, you can see the Dean influence in films like 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High'.. & some of the... er uhm.. older ones... yup!  Anyway -

His name change came early in his career.  Citing he didn't wanna be accused of "riding the coattails of my family name."

The choosing of his name came from his love of Marvel comics as a kid - saying he chose it after the superhero - Luke Cage.

He went on to be an integral part of his drama dept. at Beverly Hills High School. It was here he gained a rep for being no nonsense when it came to rehearsals for plays. He still holds this work ethic today... And is notorious for it. "If you came up to say hi to him on a street - he is the nicest guy you'll ever meet... but interrupt him while on set rehearsing - and watch out ha." ~Legend Samuel Jackson.

 

After high school - he went on to UCLA School of FIlm and Television... where he impressed the professor "more than any other student. The way he knew not just his own lines but others, was unseen in my career!"

Besides being an actor - Nic is a real estate tycoon & car collector.  Sooo - his residence changes CONSTANTLY!  If only they'd let him move his castle to Cali... he may settle down in one place... Iiii dunno tho!  Currently, he lives here.. main entrance, balcony, kitchen, . BELLA!! Bella!!
